"And y'all scared I can tell, and I'ma get bucks like Milwaukee cuz like Sam I-Can-Sell.."- Jadakiss, "Put Ya Hands Up"
Now normally, this blog is full of opinions centered on hip hop and pop culture. But today is solely dedicated to my first love, BASKETBALL. And with today's NBA being heavily influenced by hip hop, it is only right that Real Talk takes a stab at a heated debate..
And the debate is, WHO IS THE BEST POINT GUARD IN THE LEAGUE?
Now some people would say CP3 and other would say D. Will (people like myself)..
So, while trying to be as arbitrary as possible, lets break down both cats.
First, CP3..
Of course, CP is what many would look for in a Point "God". Quick, amazing vision and creativity are all things that define his game (also a 2nd Place MVP finish, shout out to AG). But on to my pick..
D. Will
First and foremost, check the first clip in this video where a certain someone gives CP3 a few moves. But yes, I feel D. Will is the best point guard in the league. He posses the same qualities as Paul, while also having a excellent jumper and size that allows him to put smaller point guards (Such as Paul)in the post and score at his discretion. Now they were the class of a rather weak 2005 Draft, D. Will being selected third and Paul forth. And I am not knocking either ones accomplishments, but lets just be honest with ourselves for a minute..
So, my idea was to keep this simple so that it would leave room for a heated discussion with all my fellow basketball lovers. Let the Debate begin!!
"Fuck y'all mean, handlin' since a teen, like LeBron or Sebastian High school graduates, straight to the league.."- Jay-Z, "Dead Presidents III"

Nice post, but Derek Rose is gunnin for that #1 spot! Only time will tell...
Okay so let me say this...its over for Rose being better than CP3 or Derron Williams. These two are in a class all by themselves. Its like how Jason Kidd has been alone at the top for so long, and how Zeke and Magic were the standard by which all point guards were measured.
Now to answer the question, I have to go with Chris Paul based off the intangible...his heart. The two are equal, but CP3 has the heart with a slightly better killer instinct.
How can you say it’s over for D. Rose before you’ve seen him play one single game in the NBA? Like I said only time will tell, but I do agree that it’s going to be tough for the young bol outta the chi because he will be measured with the greats just like his predecessors. At the end of the day only one thing matters…who will get the ring?
Aight so I feel u on CP3 but lets not overlook D Wade. Yes Miami has been some shit for the past few years but the injury was a huge setback. I like what I saw in Beijing and I think this upcoming season will be a lot better for him. Iono about the team. His heart is questionable but talent wise he is ready. With some work and maybe a new team I might have to go wit D Wade. And I know it's a stretch but I must bring up Baron Davis. Again he's injury prone but when he's healthy he be ballin like shit!! He's got the size, the vision, the heart, the experience, he's a good jump shooter and I always feel comfortable when he has the ball and we need to score. He may never get a ring but he's still one of my favs....D Will is a beast too, still he needs some work. I E his jumpshot could improve and he need to make his teammates noticeably better. That is the true test of a good pointg....
